The purpose of
profiling top performers would be to determine if there exist
shared characteristics of success amongst them and ultimately to
develop a Benchmark or template. The development of this top
performer template or Success Pattern will consider three
important factors.
- the specific duties and responsibilities
- the various management styles prevalent in the organization and
- the corporate culture unique to the organization
The Success Pattern can be used as a basis for evaluating
existing and potential employees stack up against the top
performers in a particular job and what training and coaching is
necessary for their growth and development. Examples of these
success patterns are provided for three assessment tools namely
the ProfileXT™, the Customer Service Perspective™ and the
Profiles Sales Indicator™.
